FAQ's

Anyone ages 13 and above are eligible for Timeless Therapeutic Services. While you must be at least 18 and out of high school to participate in our support groups, we do offer individual therapy for adolescents. Forthcoming, Timeless Therapeutic will offer Teen Coping Skills groups for adolescents 13 and above.

Who is eligible for Timeless Therapeutic Services?

Do I really need therapy? I usually just talk to friends or pray about it.

Seeking therapy is a big step in your mental wellness journey. At this point, you may have tried a multitude of solutions that just don’t seem to work. Maybe you have been feeling “off” or not like your usual self for an extended period of time. Maybe you recognize or want to identify your mental health triggers and feel it’s time to implement lasting coping skills. Therapy is ideal for those who want to work through their stressors with a non-biased, non-judgmental person skilled at helping you make sense of it all. It is not to replace your spiritual practices, but to work in conjunction with them.

How long will I be in therapy? How Often would I need to have sessions?

The length of treatment varies with each person based on the circumstances. If you are looking to address a sudden crisis, it may take 4-6 weeks, whereas addressing deep-rooted issues and concerns can take more time to progress toward your goals. Frequency of treatment is based on your needs and budget. At minimum, you can meet with me weekly for an individual session. Some clients opt to meet bi-weekly or monthly depending on how close they are to meeting their treatment goals. Each session is allotted for 50 minutes.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes! In fact, all services (except Mental Wellness Workshops) require a free 15-minute consultation for prospective clients to gather information and answer any questions you may have. This helps us determine if we may be a good fit for your therapeutic journey. If I cannot accommodate you for any reason, or you feel another clinician may be a better match for your needs, I will do my best to provide you with a few referrals.

Do you take insurance?

Timeless Therapeutic Services works in collaboration with DRT Behavioral Services to work the following insurance plans: Aetna, Cigna, all of the Optum brands, Tricare, BCBS To determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, call the number on the back of your insurance card for coverage and benefits.

What important questions should I ask my insurance company?

-Do I have mental health or behavioral health benefits? -Does my policy cover outpatient psychotherapy services? -Does my policy cover telehealth services for counseling? -What is my copay per session? -Is there a specific billing code that should be used? -Are there any specific restrictions around the service, such as limited sessions? -Is the therapist I want to work with in-network or out-of-network? What does that mean for my copay?

How much do your services cost?

The initial 15-minute virtual consultation is free for all prospective clients. Pricing does vary depending on the service you receive and your method of payment. For example, if you are using your insurance, you may pay a different out-of-pocket rate than if you were paying privately. Package deals are available, which you can get more information about with your consultation.

Do you prescribe medicine or provide medical treatment services?

If your treatment plan requires more than what individual therapy can offer, I will refer you for medication management services provided by a local Board-certified Psychiatrist.

What if I can’t make it to a session?

Things come up, that’s life! To respect both of our time, I do require a 24-hour notice of cancellation to avoid being charged a cancellation fee. All policies must be signed and will be reviewed prior to your first session.
